TV channel BBC 4 last night (25/1/2013) broadcast two magnificent portraits: of Londoner Ray Davies of the 70’s group the “Kinks”, and of the late Dave Brubeck, who died last December, aged 92. The programme produced by Clint Eastwood in 2010, featured many concert and interview extracts recorded throughout this great jazzman’s life. An extract, alongside Clint and with Brubecks wife Iola, explaining his spiritual outlook, which particularly moved me.
