Attending Xmas eve mass yesterday was for Paulette and I a moment of liberation, from the difficulties of life, particularly from the anguish of loosing her elder brother this week. A celebration that far exceeds Christian beliefs, breathing in and breathing out, mindful of collective existence in a crowded church, peace with one’s innerself. And by chance, a confirmation comes this morning with my discovery of an old video interview of « Thay », Thich Nhat Hanh, in 1995 whilst attending an international conference, the State of the World Forum. A half hour discussion of infinite humble wisdom and awakening. I recommend a pause to watch. Thay, whose Plum Village which I have often visited half an hour away, is today in Thaïland, aged 93. I pray for him. Let’s breath!
